How to scan
There are two ways to scan your document from Mac OS X and macOS:
Using Scanner Proxy
NOTE: For bonjour-enabled printers, a scan proxy is created with the printer proxy. For network-connected printers only.

NOTE: If your computer has a modem that is connected to a phone line, you can fax files directly from your computer to any fax machine or computer that is set up to receive faxes.
