  • Download and install the dotnet core runtime for Mac OS
  • Install homebrew: https://brew.sh/
  • Open a terminal and run: brew install ffmpeg
  • Run dotnet Agent.dll in a terminal window in the Agent folder.
  • Open a web browser at http://localhost:8090 to start configuring Agent. If port 8090 isn't working check the terminal output for the port Agent is running on.

Agent for Linux has been tested on Ubuntu 18.04, 19.10, Debian 10 and Linux Mint 19.3. Other distributions may require additional dependencies. Use the docker option if you have problems installing.

Dependencies:

  • Agent currently uses the .Net core 3.1 runtime which can be installed by running: sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install -y apt-transport-https && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y aspnetcore-runtime-3.1
  • More information (you may need to add package references): https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-core/3.1

You also need to install FFmpeg v4.x - one way of getting this via the terminal in Linux is:

  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonathonf/ffmpeg-4ORsudo add-apt-repository ppa:savoury1/ffmpeg4 for Xenial and Focal
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install -y ffmpeg

Important: Don't use the default ffmpeg package for your distro as it doesn't include specific libraries that Agent needs

Other libraries Agent may need depending on your Linux distro:

  • sudo apt-get install -y libtbb-dev libc6-dev gss-ntlmssp

For Debian 10 (and possibly other distros):

  • sudo apt install multiarch-support
  • sudo dpkg -i libjpeg-turbo8_1.5.2-0ubuntu5.18.04.4_amd64.deb
  • sudo dpkg -i libjpeg8_8c-2ubuntu8_amd64.deb

For VLC support (optional):

  • sudo apt-get install -y libvlc-dev vlc libx11-dev

Download Agent:

  • Unzip the Agent DVR files, open a terminal and run: dotnet Agent.dll in the Agent folder.
  • Open a web browser at http://localhost:8090 to start configuring Agent. If port 8090 isn't working check the terminal output for the port Agent is running on.
  • A Docker image of Agent DVR will install Agent DVR on a virtual Linux image on any supported operating system. Please see the docker file for options.

Important: The docker version of Agent includes a TURN server to work around port access limitations on Docker. If Docker isn't running in Host mode (which is only available on linux hosts) then you will need to access the UI of Agent by http://IPADDRESS:8090 instead of http://localhost:8090 (where IPADDRESS is the LAN IP address of your host computer).

To install Agent under docker you can call (for example):
    docker run -it -p 8090:8090 -p 3478:3478/udp -p 50000-50010:50000-50010/udp --name agentdvr doitandbedone/ispyagentdvr:latest

To run Agent if it's already installed:
    docker start agentdvr

If you have downloaded Agent DVR to a VPS or a PC with no graphical UI you can setup Agent for remote access by calling 'Agent register' on Windows or 'dotnet Agent.dll register' on OSX or Linux. This will give you a claim code you can use to access Agent remotely.

or. Download iSpy v7.2.1.0

iSpy is our original open source video surveillance project for Windows. iSpy runs on Windows 7 SP1 and above. iSpy requires the .net framework v4.5+. To run on windows server 2012 you will need to install media foundation.

  • Click to download the Windows iSpy installer. We recommend Agent DVR for new installations.

Vehicle Cameras And The Law – Not For Entertainment

Driver Fatigue Warning System And How It Works
08/08/2017

Driver facing cameras can be a contentious issue. CameraMatics can help with the technology and also in getting your staff onside so they recognise the benefits themselves. Read on or get in touch with us today for more information.

More and more fleet operators are installing vehicle cameras in their vehicles. However, many fleet managers and owners are also looking to install in-cab/driver-facing cameras. The benefits of this are pretty obvious; in the event of an accident you can very easily show that your driver was blameless and was paying full attention at the time of the accident. It also provides a record in the event of altercations with the driver or break-ins to the cab.

This is however a double-edged sword. Of course in most cases, the driver is blameless and the video can prove that to be the case, but in some cases they are not. In these cases the recording may show that they were distracted, using their phone, asleep or otherwise at fault. The footage therefore becomes the prosecution’s key witness.

It has been shown and reported that fitting in-cab cameras has a strong positive effect on driver behaviour, eliminating the bad habits that can cause accidents and therefore making the fleet safer. BUT…despite all these benefits, drivers and unions often perceive the use of in-cab cameras as negative because they have been used in the past, by unscrupulous business owners, as a way to exploit drivers. They have also also been seen as an invasion of privacy; particularly for long-distance drivers who effectively ‘live’ in the cab during their down time on these long trips. Wonderland game full version.

/scangear-mf-download-mac-high-sierra.html. If you wish to install in-cab cameras, you must therefore be aware of the negative perception and work to overcome the fear and stay within the requirements of the law. Here are 5 things to do:

  1. You Must Make Drivers Aware
One of the biggest no-nos of camera use is not making it 100% clear that they are being used in a vehicle. If there is a camera in the cab, it is especially important that clear signage is included in the cab so drivers and passengers know they are being recorded. Most judges would take a dim view of a company trying to make use of footage in a case against a driver where they were not aware they were being recorded. Covert surveillance is possible, but only under specific circumstances where you believe dishonest activity is occurring, such as theft. However, if the activity only occurs on a specific truck or shift, then the covert cameras would need to be installed only on those trucks or for those shifts.
  2. Gain Consent
We regularly hear from fleet owners/managers that drivers remove, unplug or try to block cameras. During our discussions, we then discover that the drivers were not consulted in the decision to install in-cab cameras. Their lack of consent can create distrust as to the motives for the installation of said cameras. Conversely, when the reasons and benefits for the cameras is explained and drivers agree to their use, the cameras remain in all their un-tampered glory.
  3. Create a Camera Footage Policy
One of the best ways to gain consent is to provide an official written policy for how the camera footage will be recorded, stored and used. Make sure all staff understand who is the Video Data Officer (i.e. the person who will initially review and download the footage) and who will have access to the footage and for what purposes. It should also include sanctions for tampering and how infractions will be handled, whether they lead to an accident or not. For instance, minor infractions may only lead to a discussion with the fleet manager or some form of remedial training.
  4. Privacy
You MUST take privacy seriously. Obviously this applies to the use of the footage itself, so you must only use the footage for the purpose it was originally intended. You could find yourself fined for improper use of camera footage. However, there is a more practical aspect with regards to camera placement. If there is an expectation of privacy at specific times, for instance when the driver is resting on a long-distance trip, then the camera must either automatically switch off when the engine is not running, or the placement must be such that it does not cover the areas of the cab where drivers take their rest.
  5. Employment Contracts
The easiest way to ensure consent for use of cameras has been gained is to incorporate it into employment contracts. Existing employees can sign the new version of the contract incorporating the use of cameras and it has the added advantage of ensuring that all new employees effectively give their consent upon signing the contract.

Handled correctly, good drivers will embrace this technology as a way to provide them with additional protection against fraudulent and no-fault claims. Reassure them on privacy, the use of the footage and how it will only benefit them, and your fleet will be safer forever.
